Double Scoop: Ensuring NH Educators Collaborate on the 306s
It's time to step forward, educators.
For 15 years, I blogged under the moniker of Principal Reflections at billcarozza.com. I left the blog behind last year to start NH School Scoop. Now, I plan on writing occasional posts to fill in thoughts on the news or reflect on education issues.
My friend and colleague, Christine Downing, has been on the front lines fighting for NH educators to lead any change to our Minimum Standards, known as the 306s. She is collaborating directly with 13 NH House and Senate legislators to pass HB 431, ensuring that public school educators will be part of any future work on the 306 rules.
The bill is open for public testimony and will have a hearing in Concord this Monday, March 10. Please consider providing in-person testimony, or if you cannot, you can submit your thoughts using this link.
Directions to submit testimony:
Select March 10 on the calendar.
Select House Education Policy and Administration for the committee.
Then select HB 431.
No matter your view on the Minimum Standards, doesn’t it make sense for NH educators to be involved with their revision?
